Celebrating Our 15th Edition and the Year’s End
As I release our 15th and final newsletter of the year, let’s reflect on the growth and experiences that have shaped the Tech Leadership Lab‘s community. This edition highlights our recent ventures and a little retrospect.
Overcoming Challenges and Building Connections
1) Venturing into Video Streaming: Last week marked our inaugural video event, and while it wasn’t without its technical challenges — such as the unexpected streaming issue on LinkedIn and a 23-minute delay — it turned out to be a valuable learning experience. Special thanks to Christopher Lafayette, whose expertise in Live summits transformed these hiccups into a session highlight. His perspective reminded us of the broader global challenges, putting our technical issues into context.
2) Expanding Our Community on WhatsApp: We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our invite-only WhatsApp group. Currently, we are a growing family of ten, selectively inviting outstanding individuals to join us. Our aim is to foster a close-knit, family-like group united in our long-term mission. As we focus on nurturing this tight-knit community, the group’s expansion will be gradual, ensuring we maintain the integrity and purpose of our collective journey.
These updates mark an exciting phase in our 15-week journey with Tech Leadership Lab, a legacy project poised to become a benchmark in quality leadership for building a better future for all.
💤 Hack 1: Enhancing Quality Sleep
- If you can’t completely darken your room, consider using an eye mask. It’s a simple, yet effective tool to block out unwanted light, helping your body recognize that it’s time to rest.
- Electronic devices emit blue light that can interfere with your sleep cycle. Try to eliminate any blue light sources from your room before bedtime. This might mean turning off digital clocks, smartphones, or any other devices with screens.

Join us today for an event filled with joy, fun, and surprises! We’re bringing back our former speakers and amazing guests, each armed with their own unique giveaways. And if time allows, you too can hop on stage with your giveaway. Just imagine the possibilities!
I also ran a poll to decide the way we give out those giveaways. Check out the loud and clear outcome in the attached picture.
Based on your votes, we’re gearing up for an exciting array of activities to determine our winners. From trivia questions and storytelling challenges to industry riddles – we’re all set to make it engaging and fun. We’ll let the speakers decide.
For those who’d love to share a bit of holiday cheer, feel free to sing a piece of your favorite festive song.
We’re keeping to our well-established audio format to make sure everyone is comfortable, and fewer tech hiccups are expected.
This setup will allow us to bring people onto the stage one by one while ensuring everyone in the audio room gets a chance to participate and be seen.
Prepare for an unforgettable event that combines the spirit of the season with the excitement of our community!

⛲ Health and Well-being Hack 2: Preserving Muscle Mass for Longevity
Maintaining muscle mass is not just about aesthetics; it’s a key factor in promoting longevity and overall health. As we age, muscle mass naturally decreases, but there are effective ways to slow down this process and maintain your strength.
Strength Training: Incorporate resistance or strength training into your routine. Lifting weights, using resistance bands, or engaging in body-weight exercises like push-ups and squats can significantly help in maintaining muscle mass.
Protein Intake: Ensure adequate protein consumption in your diet. Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth. Consider including a variety of protein sources, such as lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy, legumes, and nuts.
Regular Physical Activity: Stay active. Regular physical activity, even in the form of walking, swimming, or yoga, can help preserve muscle tissue and overall mobility.
Avoid Prolonged Inactivity: Prolonged periods of inactivity can accelerate muscle loss. Try to stay active throughout the day, even with simple activities like standing up, stretching, or taking short walks.
Envisioning the Future
Embracing the Promise of Technology
As we conclude the 2023 edition of the Tech Leadership Lab, it’s time to look beyond the present and envision the extraordinary possibilities that lie ahead. The rapid advancements in technology are transforming our world in unprecedented ways, and we stand at the edge of a future filled with immense potential.
Technology has the power to amplify human capabilities, enabling us to achieve once unimaginable dreams. Well, maybe we saw some in Sci-fi. AI-powered tools are revolutionizing almost every sector you can think of. Early movers and adaptors have lots to gain.
The environmental challenges we face demand innovative solutions, and technology offers a path forward. AI-powered systems are optimizing energy consumption, reducing waste, and developing sustainable solutions for transportation and agriculture. We can envision a future where technology is the driving force behind a harmonious coexistence between humanity and the planet.
Promoting Equity and Inclusion
Technology has the potential to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals from all backgrounds. Affordable access to technology is crucial for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. We can envision a future where technology is a tool for social justice, promoting equity and inclusion for all.
Connecting the World
Technology has the power to connect us across borders and cultures, fostering understanding and collaboration. Virtual platforms are bridging physical distances, enabling us to share ideas, learn from diverse perspectives, and build global communities. We can envision a future where technology is the catalyst for a more interconnected and harmonious world.
As we continue this revolutionary journey of technological advancement, let us remain mindful of the ethical implications and societal impacts. By embracing responsible development and ensuring equitable access, we can ensure that technology serves as a force for good, shaping a future that is sustainable, equitable, and interconnected.
Let’s gamify the right incentives, not just who’s getting out with a closer version of AGI. It’s too soon and we are not aligned. But we can if we are creating the buzz and competition about solutions to make sure we are safe and AI will serve us well.
Human decisions and human rights should be at the core of AI regulation, says UN adviser, a great article to read about Markus Krebsz, who’s close to us.
